Performance in Tralent tournaments is measured solely based on the percentage gain or loss realized in each trade. Here’s how it is determined:
- Performance Calculation: The performance of each trade is calculated based on the percentage difference between the opening and closing prices. This means that the outcome of each trade is evaluated in terms of the percentage change in the asset’s value.
- Use of Quantity (QTY) Factor: Traders assign a weight factor called Quantity (QTY) to each trade. The QTY amount is consistent for all participants in a tournament and varies depending on the tournament duration. For example, in a 4-hours tournament, each participant is allocated 20 QTY. These QTYs can be distributed in various ways:
- Open up to 20 separate trades with 1 QTY each
- Place a single trade with 20 QTY
- Use any combination of these options
The QTY used in each trade is multiplied by the percentage change in the asset’s value, determining the actual performance of the trade.
Example:
Title: APPL
Operation type: BUY
Open price: 100
Current price: 101
Title Var %: +1%
if QTY= 3
Trade P&L = 3%
- QTYs are reusable: Once a trade is closed, the QTYs used are returned to the trader and can be reused within the same tournament.
- Overall Performance: The overall performance of a trader is the aggregate of the percentage performances of all trades, weighted by the QTY used. This cumulative performance directly determines the trader’s ranking in the tournament standings.
This approach ensures that performance is measured fairly and allows each trader to strategically manage their trades throughout the tournament.
